| The last round of the US Midwest Series took place in Toledo, Ohio on September 27-28. The track is a permanent track with a nice driverâ™s stand, covered pits, and great track crew. The weather was absolutely perfect all weekend. At this race, the following classes were run: Pan car, 1/8 4wd , 1/10 nitro touring, 1/10 modified electric touring, and GT. Racing started on Saturday with open practice, followed by three rounds of qualifying. On Sunday, one additional round of qualifying was run, followed by 30 minute finals for each main. |

| During qualifying for 1/10 nitro touring, we were testing different setups to prepare for the upcoming ENS race in Fiorano, Italy, so we did not qualify as well as we would have liked. However, we knew what worked at this track and got the car set-up well in the end. The competition at this round of the series was quite high. I managed to qualify 3rd with my XRAY NT1, behind fellow XRAY driver, Tom Esposito, in 2nd. |

During the 30 minute A-final on Sunday, I was able to take a solid lead after 8 laps. Towards the end of the race, I failed to hear my dad/pitman call me into the pits for a fuel stop and flamed out at the end of the sweeper. But with a 2 lap lead, my dad was quickly able to restart my car allowing me to keep my leading position. My tires wore quite a bit and the car was loose at the very end of the race, but I was able to take the win.
I had a great time racing at this track and am very happy with the results with my XRAY NT1!
